Hey everyone i would like to read some opinions about my current problem/dilemma,
I got an hands down 5800x3D from my cousin that upgraded to the amd5 my problem here is the cooling part for it i don't have money to buy a 360mm or a 260mm aio or beefy air solution, but first let me show what i'm running:
  • asrock b450m-hdv
  • ryzen 3 3200g
  • Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite 120
  • gtx 1050ti
  • 16gb ram
  • psu: seasonic 620w m12ii evo
Well at the first look upgrading will be a huge bottleneck but since its for free better at least see if it works, my main concern is that my aio wont be able handle it.
I did some quick stress tests with AIDA64(could use prime95 but didn't came to my mind), ngl for like 20 minutes and keep the temps between 77 - 79 with an open case and room temperature around 22 Cº not sure if that's a valid test.
But anyway I've reverted back to my old setup right now to write this(lol) to get some enlightenment tips, also i got an Raijintek Aidos back from 2014 that i could also use in the amd4 platform but don't know even if will be worth

your looking at around 110-120w to cool. even a basic cooler can handle this. you don't need anything crazy like an AIO or $200 air cooler for this.

the small AIO you have is probably good enough, but you can with a simple cheap air cooler if you wish to switch. even the old standby hyper 212 evo is about 150w of cooling power.
