Got new Graphic card to watch 4K youtube but still lags

4Gb DDR3 Memory
2Gb Radeon R7 240
internet Virgin Media speed is 100Mb download and 6Mb upload

I had Geforce 9400GT before can only play Full HD youtube video and lag's on Full HD 60fps
i got new graphic card Radeon R7 240 to watch 4K youtube or 2K but both lag or even Full HD at 60fps and still lags,

i tried h264ify add on for google chrome and firefox still same. also tried IE 10 still bad
will installing flash player help?
how can i use my graphic card GPU to watch YouTube video at 4K or 2k?

Try to run 4K movie from a file and not from youtube and see if it lags or not. I have the feeling that your CPU cant handle 4k movies

I don't think it's the memory. Because I check task manager and memory is only about half.
CPU usage is high.
So how to i take the load off the CPU and use my GPU instead.
Even 60fps on full HD lags.
I haven't tried 4K on VLC player yet.
Only tried 4K YouTube and 2K.

Sounds more like internet having problems buffering youtube video.

What does your buffering look like? Doesn't matter how fast your internet is, if YouTube servers are overloaded which happens literally every single day buffer times can last forever and cause the video to play for a few seconds then stop to bigger then play then stop etc etc.

I have 300/300 upload/download speeds and I get YouTube buffer lag every single night. It's the YouTube servers. Unless you are actually getting video lag and not buffer lag that's more than likely what you're experiencing. If it is indeed gpu lag use hwmonitor to see what your usages and temps are at.

without flash player and H264ify disable addon CPU usage goes 100% and Memory goes near 80% or 90%
with flash player and H264ify enable CPU uasge goes 50% and Memory 50% but still lags.
and Youtube bar is ahead of me when am watching. so its monday today internet is not busy like week ends.
i think i waste my money on a new graphic Card no improvements from my old graphic card which was build on 2008.

i have problem with 1080p @ 60fps but 1080p @30fps runs smooth.
lags on 1080p @60fps

i have 4Gb DDR3 RAM.
4K youtube uses 80% to 90% and CPU 100% usage.
but with H264ify add on for firefox uses about CPU 50% usage and memory 50%..

Radeon R7 240 don't support H.264 i think i got the wrong Graphic Card
Radeon R7 360 support Video Codec Engine (VCE) with H.264, that card is £80
