Got new RAM, do I need to do anything?

Hi,

I have an i7 920 overclocked to 3.6Ghz and 6Gb of triple channel memory. I received 12Gb (3x4Gb) in post today, before I swap it is there anything I need to do? I think it is possible my current RAM is overclocked as rated timings are 9-9-9-27 but it is currently 9-9-9-24.

I thought it was triple channel? Did I buy the wrong memory????

When I goto CPU-Z it says CHANNELS # Triple.

You got the right RAM - it is DDR3 and triple channel. I just checked it. Enjoy the added speed of the computer.
