Ijust got the card 2 days ago its a 6gb version and i found out my cpu gets really hot in comparison to what it used to be before when i had r9 280x vapor x and also figured the card is not doing well enough in performance as it have to be idont know what can make it happen ireally need help in spotting the issue here
my system specs-
MB- GIGABYTE b75m d2v
CPU- i7 3770
RAM- 8GB 1333Mhz
PSU-antec 650w gold
HDD-Hitachi 500GB 7200 rpm

cpu runs idle 40-55c max close to 100c
also load gets to 85-95%
is there something im missing that might get me that issue?

thanks in advance for the help

Solution
Try applying new thermal paste first as well as dusting out the system. If this does not keep the CPU under 75C under 100% load then you will want to consider getting a aftermarket cooler such as the Cryorig H7.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Thermal Compound: ARCTIC MX4 4g Thermal Paste ($6.84 @ Newegg)
Total: $6.84

MX4 thermal paste can also be used on the GPU to lower the temp a little bit but that card should run fairly cool.

i sure need to do it but is there anything else ishould think of before itry that or after that? its just icant do it a at the moment cus ineed a thermal paste...

will an arctic freezer 11 LP do the work?

it should be better than the stock one, and it comes with thermal paste already applied, so all you would need to do is clean the cpu

Thanks for the help
hahaha you just saved me 5$ thanks for that

Of course iwas just kidding..
id even consider getting a better cooler like zalman cnps2x or scythe kodati rev b
