Question Got wrong ram for motherbaord, will it work?

The z390 gaming x gigabyte, says it only takes up to 2666, but I got 2x8 of 3200, will it still work, and is it best to put them In a2 b2 slots, because 1 is blocked my the cpu cooler.

Yes it will work, you just have to enable XMP in the bios to get the ram to run at 3200. A2 and B2 should run in dual channel.

It will probably work.
Check and see if the exact model of your ram kit is listed on your MB's QVL and/or the ram manufacturers compatibility list.
Even if not listed on either list it will most likely still work but possibly only at the lower (non-xmp) speed.
Also read the MB manual to see which slots are specified for use when you have a 2 stick ram kit.
