Long story short, while in windows 7 I made my main partition (where I have my music and videos etc) active. Then in the diagnostic windows, I was confused so I made everything inactive. So I got on another computer and got Gparted (stable version http://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/files/gparted/gparted-0.18.0/)

So then I booted to it on my messed up computer and I want to mark my SYSTEM partition as active (because it's the one that's supposed to be active)
How do I do that? I've reached here:

In windows 7 click on the start pearl.
In the search box type : disk man.
Select from the search results create and format hard drives, partitions.

when the window opens, simply right click on the drive in question and mark as active in the pull down menu.

The problem with that is that I can't boot into windows.
