Question GPIO jumper wire

I redoing the looks of my PI 4.
I had bought some 26 27 guard jumper wire. I have some silicone wire and been customizing gpio jumper wire for the Pi 4. When trying to crimp some connectors to the ends of the silicone wire with the tool, the tips that wraps around the jacket of the wire seems to dig into the silicone and makes a mass of it https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G2HFCS1/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Is there a proper way to crimp connectors on the ends of silicone wire

The crimping should happen around the insulator as tightly as possible, as it'll have a much firmer grip on the cable as a whole. You then have to solder the conductor to the pin for electrical connectivity.
