GPT and RAID0

I'm running a 250gb SSD and had multiple smaller HDDs in my windows 8.1 custom desktop.
I upgraded from all the smaller drives to 2 750GB WD black HDDs.
After switching AHCI to RAID on my z77 extreme4 asrock mobo, I setup the 2 WD blacks in RAID 0 in windows 8.1 disk management. Now when I boot my PC a screen comes up saying both drives are non raid and to press ctrl+i and wants me to setup raid but it will delete all my files.
I just got done migrating all my data and would rather not re-setup the RAID 0 and have to migrate everything off and back on. But I do want intel rapid storage to detect my RAID 0 setup.

Now onto the GPT, I would like to setup that same raid array and my current SSD with windows on it to use the GPT partition system so Windows 8 can take advantage of it

If you set them up as a RAID-0 in Windows, then you set them up as a pure software RAID managed by the operating system.

If you set them up as a RAID-0 in Intel RST, then you set them up as a firmware assisted software RAID managed by the RST ROM and associated operating system driver.

It's a software RAID either way.
