GPU 100% load TDP 75% MAX?

During gaming the GPU goes up to 100% load but the TDP never goes above 75% Shouldnt it be drawing more power at 100% load?


I read into it and tried putting my GPU at 135% power limit in afterburner but this setting does not seem to effect anything. (Does not seem to effect anything at all actually, should it?)

Is something throttling it? Using high performance mode in drivers and high power mode in control panel.

It's possible to hit any of the caps without hitting others.

You can hit the max GPU load without hitting TDP. There's more to the card than the graphics processing unit. There's memory too.

There's also power efficiency.

If you want to overclock try upping the max GPU clock speed and see if the TDP usage goes up.

Ive tried raising everything and nothing effects the TDP. Why does putting the cards power limit to 135% do nothing?

That's how far the card can go before throttling. It isn't getting past 75%. How's it going to reach 135%?
Try a different program. Use unigine, furmark, 3dmark, firemark

I thought TDP was seperate from GPU load? load is always 100% regardless of settings.

TDP is the power consumption. It's not always when the device is at full load.
