hey guys,
I've just built my first pc. Everything seems to be working fine except that the system won't read my graphics card.
My gpu is the gigabyte GTX 1060 windforce 2 that requires a 6 pin connecter from its psu. I'm not quite sure if the psu is the problem as it contains 8 pins with a reattatchable 2 pins. anyone got any answers for me?

You're sure you've made all the connections to their respective plugs/connectors? the use of a 6+2 pin as only a 6 pin to your GPU when the GPU only needs a 6pin is not going to be an issue but what I'm wondering is if you have seated the GPU properly. Can you elaborate on won't read my graphics card?

well I pretty sure I've connected everything where it needs to be as the system is running fine (not completely sure still will double check). Also is there a proper position other than the side or back part of the computer case for the gpu to be placed in and if there are other cables needed to connect to the gpu?
