SHOULD I BUY 6790, OR GTX 560 ,OR HD 7770 , I WAS THINKING TO BUY HD 6850 BUT ONE OF MY FRIEND TOLD ME THAT HD 6850 HAS SOME FAULTS LIKE BLACK SCREEN FLICKEING ETC,

MY PC SPECS ARE CORE I5 2500K
ASUS P8H67 MLE
2*4 GB 1333
250 GB 7200 RPM
COOLER MASTER EXTREME POWER PLUS 500W

I would have to agree. The problems could've been driver related and from the past, but I think the 6850 is in an odd place at the moment. There are better selections. As Harsh60 recommended, I'd look at the 560 and 7770. It depends on your budget.

Even a better deal right now is the Zotac AMP! GTX 560 Ti ($199.99, $169.99 after mail-in rebate)

@ harsh60 CAN I OVERCLOCK 7770 EASILY USING MY BOARD ASUS P8H67 MLE AND WHAT ABOUT TEMPERATURES,DOES IT REQUIRE A SEPARATE COOLER OR IT WILL BE OK WITH STOCK HEAT SINK.

CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME MORE ABOUT THESE PAST DRIVER RELATED PROBLEMS, ANY ARE THEY SOLVED WITH THE LATEST DRIVER VERSIONS, I WOULD LOVE TO BUY AN HD6850, ANY WHAT DO YO MEAN BY AN ODD PLACE.

Well if you update the driver you will get no problem with 6850 but why do you want to go with the 6850 the 7770 is a better deal after overclocking it can even reach the level of 6870.
if you don't want to overclock then GTX 560 is a much better deal
because6850 has 256 bit memory int. while 7770 has 128 bit

Odd place meaning, there are better cards than the 6850 for roughly the same value. And some cards cheaper that perform better than the 6850.

+1 harsh60. The 7770 is a better value. Overall better technology, lower consumption and better performance.
