GPU and CPU co-peformance

Hello. Ive recently been thinking about upgrading my GPU to something better since i want to be able to play TESO at more than just low settings. Iam thinking about swapping out my GTX 650 TI
with a GTX 750 TI (low budget gamer). The thing ive been worrying about is how well it will do with my Intel core I7 3770. Will it f*ck up since its not the same generation? or will it work jsut fine? Please help me with this one

PS if you have any GPU recommendations within the same price range, then iam open for suggestions

this is imposible that a gpu is not compatible with a cpu
all gpu will fit with your i7 3770

Iam just a little worried because my friend told me that it wouldnt be the full performance if its not the same generation?

about the generation ....only a bad motherboard / cpu combo choice , can have an issue about the socket type
