Hi. i recently bought a new i5-9600k and a new rtx 2070. i tested it and there shouldnt be a bottleneck here. But when i game my gpu sits at 60% and cpu at 99%. This happens with mostly all games i play.

My full specs are:

1080p 144hz monitor
Intel Core i5 9600K
MSI MAG Z390 TOMAHAWK
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 WINDFORCE 8G
8GB RAM

I hope somebody can help me with this

there we go. single channel ram even in xmp is a clear bottleneck to me. I wouldn't think 8gb would bottleneck *most* games but ive seen games use that much before and to be bandwidth limited via single channel rings some bells as well. id get another stick of the same ram and run dual channel xmp.

the percent they run at isn't a problem as long as your getting good fps. some games will max cpu others will max gpu but end of day as long as you have happy fps for you needs the percent it sits at is irrelevant.

for example my amd ryzen 1800x usually is at 40% while my gpu amd r9 fury sits at 99%. I still get 1080p 60 so I don't care.

thats the thing i build the pc for 120fps. it's the same as a similar build which is getting more fps + good gpu percentage. link to the build https://youtu.be/ZeUumjSe6ck . i shouldnt get 54 fps while gaming whith this rig.

psu: Corsair PSU Builder VS650
temp: gpu in game 60C cpu in game 55C
RAM: Crucial DDR4 Ballistix Sport LT 1x8GB 3000

Does this mean my ram is the bottleneck?
