I just bought a gainward gtx 1060 6gb, when i play games it stays at 80-81 degrees celsius, a few times go to 82 but not more than that, I play on ultra or high heavy graphic games like battlefield, arma 3, etc. the games run very smooth and without crazy fps drops or stuttering, but for me this temperature is way too high.

Playing on this temp all the time can affect my gpu lifespan?
it will cause any damage ?

That's actually quite funny. Wasn't but 3 years ago, amd drivers (especially concerning the switch from Catalyst to Crimson) were giving ppl absolute fits.
Mainly now, it's not Nvidia's drivers with the issue, it's Microsoft windows updates having issues with nvidia drivers. Microsoft must be mad at nvidia for some reason because you'd think they'd pre-release the upcoming changes, so nvidia could get a jump on driver fixes, but that's not happening and nvidia is scrambling to fix the 'middle finger' afterwards.
