Gpu boost 2.0, is it something you download?

So my gtx 780 is not here yet and I hope i get it monday. I hear a lot about GPU boost 2.0, now the question is...

Is gpu boost IN the hardware or is it software you download? I know about precision X, do I just download precision X and gpu boost is in there? And I know that to get geforce experience you simply download the driver. But the GPU boost 2.0 has me stumped.

Its built into the hardware and activated at the driver level, there is nothing for you to do.

I guess you download it as its a part of the Nvidia driver, but you should be downloading that anyway.

TBH I haven't really looked into it too deeply so I was making a bit of an assumption that not all cards are capable of this.
