Gpu broken or not?! help!

Sometimes my screen starts doing some weird stuff, this usually happens when playing a game (mostly when it happends it's watch dogs), any ideas what this could be? is this a gpu problem or screen/cable? btw when i use a screen recorder you can't see it

That sounds like the screen rather than the GPU if the problems don't show up on a screen recorder...

Out of interest what gpu is it and what screen and connection type?

My gpu is an msi r9 270x 2gb gaming edition
My screen is a 1080p 60hz philips 241E monitor
I use a cheap standard vga cable, I had a better vga cable but one of the pins got bend sadly!

I do have to say that I got this monitor for cheaper than the actual price as it had 1 pixel missing they said, tough I don't see the missing pixel I think it might then got damaged somehow?

watch dogs is a shitty port.. theres a great chance of seeing something like that..
but when screen recorder cant see it.. it should definitely be a monitor problem.. try these
connect your pc to any other monitor or tv and check if it appears again..
try other cable

I also had it with warface a few times but mostly with watch dogs, and the weird thing is that even after i close the game the weird screen thing is still there

try the diagnosis i mentioned above.. u will pretty much get conclusion on whats wrong
