Gpu cable to monitor and 6-pin to molex, what to pick?

I got a new screen and gpu, the screen has a vga and a hdmi input, the gpu hdmi 1.4a and dvi.
vga is included but ive read digital is better (ill know when i buy a new cable)
so should i buy hdmi to dvi or just a hdmi, also i fount a good offer for a 2.0 hdmi even thought my gpu is 1.4a (not that the price is big, but im also curious)
what do u recommend me to buy?

as for the 6-pin, the gpu has inside 2 6-pin to 1 molex, i have (or could buy a new if necessary) 6-pin to 2 molex, should i use the ones inside or the one ive read online is more safe.

monitor: Samsung S27D390H
gpu: Sapphire Dual-X R9 280 3GB GDDR5

If its a 60hz monitor hdmi is fine and if needed use the molex cables that came with the graphics card but i would recommend using ur psu 6pins if they have

the psu has 1 6-pin
the gpu needs 2
monitor is at 60hrz, if hdmi is fine (and is not neede to be hdmi to dvi) should i take the 1.4 tha my gpu needs or the latest 2.0 is as good as all the previus "models"
