GPU causing PC to shut down

I was playing a game and the pc just suddenly shut itself down. Now everytime I try to open it, it shuts down at random times or sometimes I just get an error 84 from my motherboard. I tried switching to my old GPU and now it works fine. Is the problem really only my GPU or is it possible that other components are causing the GPU and the PC to shut down? Thanks!

Test your card in another system that should be able to run it, if it does the same thing, it's the card. If it works OK, it may be a power supply issue.
