GPU causing the pc to shutdown?

I bought a used Radeon HD 7770 that worked on another pc perfectly.
Whenever I open a game, after the menu screen the pc just shuts down
I have checked the temperatures of all parts and they are pretty stable and I even used a huge fan blowing air in my open case to eliminate heat being the issue.
Also, whenever I try to install a display driver.. the installation fails.
What should I do?

You need to get the latest drivers installed from AMD without failing.

Make sure you download the correct driver for your OS, whether it is 32 or 64 bit.
I presume your running Win 7? Only 7, 8 and 10 are supported.

If the driver install fails, you can try updating the display driver manually in the device manager and point it to your radeon folder.
