GPU Choice Help

Hi whoever is reading this. I need help deciding what GPU(s) to get. Right now I've decided on two Diamond Radeon R9 290X's. Does anyone know if there is any better card? I won't mind having two in SLI/Crossfire, just as long as they're blower style, if theres a better single GPU then any cooler would be nice, except watercooling. (Uses too much room with the radiator) Oh yeah, also I don't really care what type of GPU you suggest to me (AMD or Nvidia) Also I don't worry about noise. (Have a hearing loss and wear headphones with my computer usually)

Sorry, typo, meant to say noisy and hot. So no, they don't have particularly good cooling. I've seen reviews where the cards get up to 95 C.

Besides the fact that they're noisy and loud, do they have bad cooling? Also I updated the end of the beginning post.

Yeah I think I'll be going with the nvidia's reference 970, although is it usually normal for people to get around 80 degrees?
