I'm looking into upgrading my GeForce GT 430 card to a Radeon HD 7850, but need an answer. My mother was the one to buy me my last card for Christmas 2 years ago, and claims that is the 'most powerful my pc can handle' (what a salesman told her).

I am not sure of my power supply, and don't care at this moment, I'll buy that before installing the card no doubt, but want to have the card first (It's on sale on Newegg). I'm using a HP P6710F computer, with a aN-Alvorix-RS880-uATX (Alvorix) Motherboard. Assuming I upgrade to the correct power supply, I CAN put the card in there, correct? I have the slot needed, and enough room from what I can tell, but I need to make it so she understands and actually allows me to purchase this.

Thank you!

I plan on upgrading my CPU later on, but my card is honestly not the best, so Id like to get that out of the way first.

Also: Does anyone know a good power supply off hand for this card? I plan on really looking into it, but if anyone happens to know..
