460w should be sufficient for this, but thats not a very good unit and personally I wont trust my brand new card on that. When a low quality PSU smokes, it can potentially damage other components.
The 12v efficiency is around 400w on that unit. It is also a very low quality PSU. NVidia recommends 600w for the 770. You need to be atleast above 550w. Get a better PSU above 550w. Corsair CX/CXM/TXM, Seasonic S12II/M12II/Focus are cheap and reliable units that you can find around. Or use this Tier list... https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/631048-psu-tier-list-updated/

The FSP is my PSU at the moment. I'm using an office pc with an i3 3240, i want to upgrade it for some gaming. I had a budget of £100 for the GPU, i saw that the gtx 770 has similar performance to the gtx 1050ti. Any suggestions of a different GPU or another solution? thanks for the advice so far tho

ok thankyou. I will look at getting a new PSU aswell

If you selected a BA in this thread, why did you open another thread on the same subject?

Considering you have an FSP with a lower end 3240, I don't why you are worried about getting a great GPU. Super higher end cards won't work as well in your system. You picked the 1050 as a BA in this thread, it performs slightly better than the 285. It does use a lot less power for sure. With a 460W PSU I'd pick the 1050 over the 285.
