GPU cooling using case fans

So, I recently upgraded my rig from a gtx 960 to an AMD r9 390x. Quite the upgrade, and as everyone knows, AMD components run hot. I'm reaching 75-82C in games like Witcher 3 and GTA V running ultra settings, so the card is no doubt working hard. My question lies in fan placement on the side of my case. I'm looking to decrease my GPU temperature by adding another case fan directly in front of my GPU. Currently I have the Corsair 200r, stock with one intake in the front and one outtake fan in the back, and adding my GPU and CPU heatsink fans, I currently have a 4:1 ratio of outtake fans to intake fans. So, would I like my new side panel fan to be intake, or outtake to maximize cooling? thanks in advance!

Solution

Intake blowing on the GPU, and then take a fan that you have either on the back or top and flip it around so its blowing out.

Solution

yes, I've got it set to a constant 50% and then as soon as it reaches 60C it hits 100% fan power. Thanks for all the responses everyone!

Agree with the others, so just a little off topic point.
If you're using a 60Hz monitor, set the framerate target control in the Crimson drivers to 60, it'll prevent the system from producing wasted frames which just produces unwanted heat, as an alternative, set Vsync to 'on' either in the drivers or each game individually, although this can induce lag that FRTC doesn't.
