GPU corrupted or dead

Hello.

Today I got back from school and sow my laptop like this http://i.imgur.com/FEdXJTQ.jpg
Rebooted into safe mode and disabled the gpu through device manager, but that didnt work. The screen haves lines everywhere like on the photo. Reinstalling windows didnt work. Is there any hope or the gpu is dead? I get a bsod before the windows loading screen.

depending if its still under warranty, if it is then send it back, if not you may have to open up the laptop. Its ether a loose monitor cable or the screen took a poop.

Hi

A few laptops have 2 graphics chips
A few have graphics on. Card

A majority have one graphics chip
It probably requires. A New motherboard
Which is probably un economic
What type of graphics chip is it
There were problems when manufactures were forced to change to lead free solder
The solder cracked and graphics failed
A specialists can make repairs

I wont get a bsod if that was a cable. Disabling the gpu fixes the bsod problem . My question is: is there any hope fixing this or shoud i just buy a new motherboard
