My computer has been crashing, Turning off and rebooting then saying windows did not shut down correctly every time my gtx 970 hits 42 degrees Celsius, according to msi afterburner at least.

My system is as follows
-CPU Intel i5 6500
-GPU Gtx 970
-Motherboard ASUS Z170-A
-Power EVGA NEX650G 80+
-32GB Ram (don't remember the details on it)

Solution
That's way too low for a card crash due to heat, try another card in the system, try your card in another system, test the computer with onboard video only. System specs may help also, including the power supply brand and model.
