so ive knocked my desk a few times recently and its crashed my pc and when ive went to load back up ive had no display. narrowed it down to my gpu thats the issue after uninstalling and reinstalling ram and cables etc.
when installing my gpu i noticed it sags a little, and if i move it up it makes a clicking noise from the pcie slot as though its making contact only at a certain height.
ive tested it by turning my pc on, and moving the gpu up slightly and it freezes.
when i leave it its fine, but i live in a sh!tty built flat next to a main road and theres heavy lorrys drive past that shake the whole room.
im worried that this is going to cause more issues while i play.
is this a motherboard issue with the slot (as though the card has widened the slot and only makes contact if its up against it, or down against it) or likely the card is bent slightly at the bit that goes in the mobo?
how would i go about ensuring the connection is secure and a knock wont affect the system and cause a crash?
Edit: i have a gpu bracket installed which stops it sagging down, but when the pc is knocked the gpu still moves up like it bounces.
