GPU crashing then Pc restarting

My current PC is facing problems, every few days the GPU crashes and the pc restarts and dosent manage to manage to make it login screen, it restarts a few times then goes to advanced startup option. Only sorta fix i found it opening the pc and pushing the cables in properly and that seems to fix it. Someone please help me that fix is temporary after a few days it starts again

Specs are: AMD FX 8320 3.5Ghz, Nvidea Msi GTX 970, 8GB of Ram, 2TB of memory

okay first off, what power supply are you using? what happens when the GPU crashes? do you get a blue screen? or is it just the driver crashing you back to the desktop when you're playing a game? what cables are you pushing back in that fixes the problem?
