Solution

You aren't I edited my post after a close up...though not all cards have the center metal contact so the OP may or may not get away with SLI. I don't know the wiring schematic for this setup but doing some searching now. Testing is the only way to know the answer unless i can find what I am looking for. Whats the make and model card?

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 XTREME Gaming Premium Pack Video Card (GV-N1080XTREME-8GD Premium Pack)

i just noticed the scratches on the heat spreader for the gpu not sure where those came from though i wouldn't think they would affect cooling much.

nvm, got some close up pics from your pcb id

this is from front side
that trace is commin from right connector, your edition has it gone, sli still may work, its just for [strike]data, which should just limit sli performance[/strike] ground (shield) not data/ground relation

Sadly i am not finding what I need. Though the more I look the more this appears to be damage to HB SLI...You may still be able to use SLI but if I am correct you'll lose the full bandwidth do to HB SLI being unavailable. That said though without more tech documentation or further testing of the card itself I cannot give you a definitive answer to your question. Basically the speed should drop to 400mhz from 650mhz, which at 4K is a known bottleneck. Assuming SLI works at all and that HB SLI is indeed damaged by these breaks.

Yeah this fits with my line of thinking as well...hadn't seen the pic before my previous post.

ok ill just avoid sli then

tomorrow i should get my thermal paste in so i will see if it still works ok (i just know it outputs video and boots windows) then call gigabyte to see what they think about warrantying it seeing as it is physical damage ill post the results here

first 2 pins from right connector have lost traces
here some pictures from hb bridge traces

so those first 2 are just ground

Thank you I looked all over for that...So OP may or may not have working SLI...at last they were't data or voltage traces.

Solution
Well i got the Heatstink on the card and zip tied a couple 120mm fans to it the card works great

i talked with customer service and warranty will not cover them damage but they offered to replace the cooler however they could not give me a price for the repair so i declined i don't show my computer off to anyone so ill just leave it like this

i don't have another card so i cant test sli and ill probably end up avoiding it due to the damage
