[SOLVED] GPU died. I need a temporal patch for generic VGA performance.

I made this question in stackexchange, but, because it is moderated by trolls, my question was deleted "because I asked software recommendations", when clearly I was just suggesting possible solutions.

So I repeat the question here, and if there is a better web forum you can recommend me, I welcome your info.

My Nvidia GTX 670 died days ago, which means, it hangs and crashes, around log on time, when his drivers are installed.

I opened the card, and found a carpet of dust completely blocking the radiator, so it probably died out of heat. Cleaning it did nothing to fix the card.

But, it runs in safe mode, so I removed the drivers, (also tried other nvidia versions of the drivers), and now it runs as a "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter".

I can live with it, meanwhile I wait for a new card to arrive, but because I live in a very isolated place, it will take like a month until I get my new card.

The problem is that since it doesn't have any direct X support, my screen refreshes in like 5/10 fps with a lot of screen tearing, and the mouse cursor moves in jumps, scrolling excel is a torture, and youtube is a non starter.

Here is a screen capture of Dxdiag. It only says that the monitor is running at 1 hz (Which is clearly false), but I cannot check what is the actual speed of the monitor (A Samsung 2233 capable of 120 hz)

I have windows 7 64bit on an i7 920, so my question is: There is any way I can get better performance?

Maybe there are any 3rd party driver/video emulator, for generic VGA cards which would help to get better performance? (I have 4 processors and 8 threads for VGA emulation)

Maybe some memory module got damaged and can be diagnosed and disabled?

Solution
You can't get a failed card to run on drivers is crashes on. The VGA drivers are there to get you basic screen use on the computer. You did not have any local computer stores or someone with used parts they sell? Month long wait for a card seems a bit much unless you are in a bunker in Antarctica, which even then should be faster than a month.

The mother is an Asus P6T. It doens't come with an integrated GPU

Similar thing has happened to me. Can you get the drivers to start at all? Like during start-up? IF so, precision x, cut the core clock in half. If not, you gotta wait till your new one gets there.
