I'm going to try and make sense but ill be adding stuff at random sense that is how my brain works...
PC
i7 3770
OEM GTX660 1.5gb vram
8gb of ram
Nvidia driver 364.51

Note: keep in mind during the read It only does this in game and high graphic games. i done cpu,ram and hdd stress test and it ran fine and did not lock up.

My pc ran fine up till i forced a win10 update on my 3.5 ish year old X51 cause Dell was taking their sweet time on giving me the win10 update so i got it on MS page.

After that or near that i got a new monitor an ASUS VX248, some time after the 2 i started to get issues that im hoping its my gpu dieing of old age cause i heavily game from the 1st day i got this pc. Ill get an odd freeze in a game for 1-2 secs long, on and off and ill get a matching sound with it for only the first few secs, kinda like static maybe with a put put to it and then ill try to CTRL ALT Delete out but the mouse will freeze in a matching way and the task manager will not work nor will any feature so im forced to force shut down the pc and restart it. It will not do this all the time just when i play a game and i type of game after i start the pc up and after it does this and i force shut down the pc it will work fine. Its been doing this for some time now after win10 come out. Note: each time my GPU driver failed when all this happens.

I was playing Armored Warfare the other day and all was fine and then out of the blue i was getting yellow squares all over parts of my screen, maybe 40% or less in random areas, inside each square had like a white noise effect kinda and then the driver failed and the pc auto changed to the onboard gpu and the game looked fine after that but i was getting 12fps but that is fine, its an onboard gpu... When i turn my pc on the top of my screen, about a inch will be the white noise but its white will, i guess many color dots as small as a pixle but that only shows after the alienware boot screen and its fine after that. also i see that the alienware boot screen will load up two times tho it never done that before will after i got win10.

Today i had the same issue on my game freezing up to the point i had to force shut down and i dont remember how it did it but it made me scared on how it shit down and when i pushed the power button the lights would come on along with the fans and then shut off while the screen never coming on. did that 2 times and on the 3rd try it come on fine and been on sense. when i game my temps never go over 70, so about 60-70. i run after burner, razer synapse for my chroma headset and i got not long ago, trying add stuff that may be helpful, im writing a book here...
This is all i can think of.

Might be corruption, I had the same issue. Ooen the CMD as an administrator and type SFC /SCANNOW and leave it all to the system file check, it will find the corrupted files and replace them. If this doesn't work, you have no choice but to make a clean reinstallation of your windows.

it come back clean or w/e. but i still think its the GPU cause like i said it only does that when the GPU is in heavy usage.

Ill be needing a new gen card to even keep playing new games cause the gtx660 cant even play new games at 30fps so i guess i can assume the gpu is near its death.
