Question GPU doesn't display anything

I just upgraded to a Gtx 1080. I doesn't display anything when I turn my Pc on. The fan on the card spins. I don't know if it's broken or if I can fix it.

Whats your system specs including psu, monitor + vga cable and graphics card prior?

Have you connected the external power cables to the card and moved the vga cable to it if were using integrated graphics from the motherboard?
