Hello, im having a problem with my GPU, every time i play a game or try to edit a video i get this error "display driver stopped responding and recovered". Do you know why is this happening ? Please i need help.

I tried CCleaner and DDU but still nothing changed.

GPU: RX 460 WINDFORCE 2GB OC

CPU: Amd athlon II 250

Ram 8 gigs

What is the make/model of your PSU? And how old is it?

In the meantime, you might want to eliminate as many apps as possible that start with Win at boot. Might be some poorly written pgm hogging resources. A malware scan would be advisable too in order to eliminate as much software conflicts as possible.

And of course, it is always possible that the aging GTX 460 is failing. Do you have access to another gfx card to test with?

Well, the PSU is brand new, its Approx 500W Lite B01 and its brand new. Closing apps wont help at all and i tried formatting my PC afew times but still nothing.
Any way that a bios setting could cause this ?
And how can i check if the RX 460 is failing?

A BIOS setting isn't likely if you are getting a display at all. Checking the gfx card in another PC would be one way to see if it is OK. You could run some stress tests like Furmark or some extreme GPU benchmarks like Heaven and Valley. Did you install the latest gfx driver after running DDU?

Yes, i tried running Furmark 1080p and 720p presets and it dint crash but when i tried it with Lol it crashed 🙁 i also installed the latest driver but i dont have another PC to try it

It seems like something is causing the driver to crash and then Win resets it (which you already know). That would indicate a software conflict or a failing piece of hdwr. to me. If not the card itself, perhaps the PSU or HDD. Or even the motherboard itself. Really hard to diagnose w/o the machine in front of me, I'm afraid. Have you done a full malware scan? Full virus scan?

Hey, im a little late i know xD I was playing around with msi after burner and i just found the sweet spot.
