Here's my system which I've successfully installed Windows 7 on:
Core i5-10400F
8 GB DDR4
512GB SK Hynix PCIe NVMe SSD
GTX 1650 Super

So, I installed a Windows 7-compatible GTX 1650 driver, and I've gotten code 12 in device manager, with an exclamation mark:

This device cannot find enough resources that it can use. (Code 12)
If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

Additionally, there are also 2 missing PCI drivers, a "PCI Device" and a "PCI Simple Communications Controller". Do those 2 relate to causing a code 12 for the GPU? Does anyone have experience with solving this?

Seeing as your running Windows on an unsupported CPU for Windows 7 you might have some glitches.

Microsoft is weird.

New OS on old parts ok.

Old OS on new parts not happy.

Yeah lets get those missing drivers in device manager sorted out first to see if that is your issue.

Can you check each items with yellow check mark in the device manager its ----Hardware Ids---- string of numbers and copy and paste here or google so if a driver for your windows 7 on the newer hardware is out there we know what were looking for.

although your code 12 is interesting usually it code 41 or 43

I tried it in Win10, and the GTX 1650 Super drivers installed fine, even with the various other drivers missing.
I compared the resource bandwidth on the functional Win10 drivers to the resource allocations on Win7, and they match. But Win7 still throws in code 12.

Doing some research, I found that the missing PCI Simple Communications Controller might be causing the system to be using a generic chipset driver, thus causing the potential hardware conflict. Does anyone have a working installer of the Intel Management Engine for Comet Lake on Windows 7?

As OS's gets retired your have to get creative how and where you can find drivers hence the Lenovo link.

Oh one more thing on the Lenovo download page you have to right click on download and click ----save link as---- so the down load will happen or you get a box wanting you to input you Lenovo serial #

It would be a good idea to make a system restore point before trying to get this all working just in case.

But like I said before
New OS on old parts ok.
Old OS on new parts not happy.
