Hey folks how you doing,

1- When a new driver is released and advertised as "5% more in X game, 11% more in Y game". The game didn't change and neither your PC hardware. How does having a different driver getting you more FPS?
2- Some games perform way differently between Nvidia/AMD. What exactly makes the game swing very hard one way and struggle with the other?

Just what the developers of the drivers choose to optimize for. For example, you drive a car. You are probably good at stop and go, whereas Dale Earnhardt Jr is better at diving higher speeds around a track. Same job, 2 different approaches.

So nvidia for example may be optimizing for a new game they endorse whereas amd may be fixing driver issues. If you aren’t having issues in games you don’t need to update drivers as you can end up having issues.
