When installing a graphics driver, does it physically stored and saved on the graphics card or is it only on the disk in the system? Because recently I talked with a friend who knows computers very well and he surprised me, but he told me that the drivers are physically stored on the graphics card in some cache memory / memory of the card. He told me that there are some, for example, boot files, other files, but also files of the graphic driver that is being installed. And now I do not know if it works like this and these drivers are actually physically saved on the graphics card as well or not and he is mistaken ?

Your friend is wrong, mostly.

It is stored on the same drive as the operating system.
The GPU has code stored in its onboard chips, but the driver you install will live on the C drive.
So the graphics card has some codes there and maybe some other files that are necessary for its operation and which I probably have no idea about , but the graphics driver that I install from nvidia is stored only on the ssd / hdd / system disk and this driver in no possible way, even a part of this driver do not interfere with the graphics card and it does not write on it in any way and It is not on it?

Correct.

okay
I was just surprised when a colleague told me that the driver "is physically" on the graphics card because if I turn off the computer, remove the card and put it in another computer, I have to install the driver immediately, and if it was actually on the graphics card, you would not have to install anything so even such a simple example proves that in fact nothing is on the card, otherwise it would be pointless.

People often have incorrect ideas.
