I was playing The Witcher 3, and suddenly my monitor turned black: dvi no signal.
When i plug my monitor to my onboard card, works fine. The problem is when i plug my monitor to my gpu. I'd like to point out my case is dusty. I installed this gpu 2 months ago, first weeks when i played some games at ultra settings (overwatch, witcher 3) my monitor get freezed with a weird yellow color and reset, when my gpu got 1000 - 2000+ fps, weird noises come from my gpu (i dont know if that is normal)

my bios is flashed to newest version
mobo: z97-a
GPU: Gtx 970
CPU: I5 4690k
PSU: XFX TS 550

I've been trying DVI, HDMI Ports from my GPU, but no signal. PC Boots fine, all fans spinning

what im going to be testing this week:
New PSU: Evga g2 850w
Probably new GPU

Things i have been done:
- Reinstalling OS
- Cleaning dust from my pc
- Reinstalling GPU to another PCI Slot (a lot of times).
- Using 1 ram
- Reset CMOS (Removing Baterry & Jumper method)
- Turning off pc, disconnecting psu cable & pressing power button 30s - 1 min

Solution
Video card may have died, possibly form overheating. From the steps you tried, test the card in another system tht can run it. The power supply is OK and you tried new OS, which points to a hardware issue with the video card.

Probably thats the issue, I'll be sending my GPU to a friend to test it. I've installed my old gtx 970 (which doesn't work either) but this gpu at least gets display. I can't use it because i get (Code 43). when i install drivers, seems like i haven't installed them.

but why overheating? isn't these cards build for that? for hard gameplay?
my gpu temps were at 60-70 & cpu at 50-60 w/ stock cooler while playing.

my computer literally has been used 24/7

EDIT #1: : I remember when i installed the gpu 2 months ago, I haven't heard the click which indicates the card is secured to the pcie slot also I haven't used the screws to secure gpu to case. I don't know if this affected my gpu, i was able to play games at ultra without fps drops tho.

Also i committed the error to run my pc without cables attached to gpu, but quickly I turned off my pc, but this happened while I tried to solve all this when i get black screen

You have two 970s and neither of them work? Maybe a power supply issue then.
