[SOLVED] GPU dying?

I got 2 major problems with my GPU even though it performs well. First Question: I move the 8 prong GPU cord a little bit and the Display cuts out and I have to restart my computer for it to work again, is it a Short in the wire or could it be something else? Second Question: I was playing RDR2 and I've only noticed it when playing RDR. The fan speeds are dropping out, now I do set the Fan speeds Manually with MSI afterburner. I set the Fan Speed to 80% while playing and it keeps my GPU at around 70c but when the speed cuts out for a few seconds or up to a minute it could go up to 80c+.

My GPU is the Sapphire R9 290x Vapor-X Tri-x 8gb
Power Supply is the Corsair 750w

Hey there, it sounds like the 8 pin PCI-E power connector on the GPU is failing. If you have a multi-meter you can try to check the cable or connector for continuity. (Set the meter to continuity, touch the probes, the meter will make a continuous beep as long as the circuit is complete.)

How does the 8 PIN connector look where it attaches to the GPU? Anything like this;

It might be a broken or cold solder joint.
