[SOLVED] gpu extension cable

Hi, this is the first time I would be attempting something like this.

I have a 10th gen cpu installed. Would it be compatible if I buy this extension cable? Planning to move the gpu to the bottom of the case if possible.

If the case size is MicroATX, then no. If it's Mid ATX or larger, then possibly, depending on how much clearance you have.

In terms of the PCIe slot? Yes thats what youd need.
However, the rest of the question is another matter. Moving the GPU is not as simple as just adding a riser, but if the case is designed for it then its simple.

edited first post. Sorry, meant to say I have a "10th gen cpu installed". Said by mistake that I had a 10th gen "gpu", which does not make sense. lol

was thinking that since I have a 10th gen cpu, then the pcie 3.0 x16 mode is active? So I should get a pcie 3 cable?

anyway, thanks for the replies. Glad to know the gpu extension cable would work.
