You need what is wrong with the gpu. It could be your case not giving good air flow, it could be your thermal paste and it could also be a faulty gpu that needs to be RMAed. So what is your gpu and try giving more information
It's not the airflow, as the GPU used to remain around 40 degrees with everything in the case the same as it is now. The fans are running, and the GPU appears to be functioning correctly (except for the temperature). It's a Radeon R9 290
Had nearly the same problem and I think bios limits fan speed to 47% to keep things quiet and they call it a performance bios......
Result being the fan does not go any faster than 47%
I tried most and they all work,just try them until you find one you like.
I used MSIAfterburner because it displayed temps on my G15.
Result was full load went from 90c+ to 60c+
Noise level did increase but not by much after a few tweaks.
The fan on full chat sounds like a jet taking off.
Worked for me......
