GPU fan goes high and card turns off after changing thermal paste

Hello Guys!
Today i've changed my thermal paste on my GPU. When I first tried to play a game (2 min) after this GPU's fan went very high and then suddenly turned off. I thought it was because I've applied paste in a wrong way so i repeated the process 2 more times and it didn't work.
Please help.
(Zotac GTX 460, 1GB 256bit GDDR5)

What are your idle temperatures? If you applied the thermal paste wrong, the idle temperatures would be high. You can use a program like speccy to check the temperatures.
