GPU fan loud now while playing games

I'm using a gtx 660 and i moved my computer to the floor because i got a new desk but now it always makes a loud sound when i run a game. it didnt happen before when i had my computer on my desk.

It's only loud while gaming, not browsing the internet

Have you tried reseating the GPU or using EVGA Precision XOC to lower the fan speed? (It may be set to auto)

does your computer feel hot? it might be time to clean out your fans and apply some thermal paste
also keep air inputs and outputs clear of obstructions

solid surfaces are good, carpets or anything fabric is bad

ill try reseating and as for the fan speed i open up the fan curve and put it as "quiet" but it always changes back to custom. i change custom but it still spins loudly.

Fast. Its pretty new i shouldnt have to clean or add paste

Under the "Fan Curse" button there is a Auto text and under that is another button. MAKE SURE THAT BUTTON IS WHITE AND NOT BLUE. If it is blue then make it white then turn down your fan speed using the slider.
