GPU fan on auto? or curve?

is it better to have my fan set to auto on my gpu and have it hit temps of high 70s running the fan on 40 or so %, or set a slight fan curve and ran the fan at 60% and have my temp be around high 50c low 60c. any harm in setting my own curve? or best to leave it to auto? (its a single fan gpu)

There is no harm, the only downside of turning a more aggresive fan curve is the extra noise.
