gpu temp is 28c fans run at 30% which doesnt meet my fan curve(msi afterburner) even by a long shot.

Solution
Does your card have the passive control feature which shuts off the fans ... MSI introduced in 2008, Asus and others started using with 9xx series.

I have never been inclined to use AB's fan curves as I find the provided curves acceptable on air cooled builds but my own boxes use water in which case use the MoBo Utility. If the GPU provides fan shut off on it's own already built in, trying to over rule that may be problematic.

1. Yup 2. curve is set like this 30% at 42c to 100% at 80c and when the temp is below 42 fans should be off right?? well nope they run at 20% to 30% when temps are 27c-to34c
3. Open : steam :: Chrome (youtube) gigbaytes support site and this forum

And ive got msi after burner disabled now and installed xtreme engine and made a fan curve like this 30% at 40c to 45% at 50c to 60% at 60c to 100% at 95c

Temp is now 29c to 30c and fan is running 300-700rpm (12%-20%) (the fans should be off now right since ive set them to kick in at 40c?????
