GPU fan pulses and won't display on boot

When I turn on my PC the GPU fan will pulse and won't 'kick start'. I tried turning on the PC while the GPU wasn't attached to the motherboard but had the other plug in it so power would run through it and the fan was fine. Not sure if it is the GPU or the motherboard that is malfunctioning?

Background:
For a while when I have started the computer I have noticed a 'pulsing' like it was trying to start over and over but could never get enough power. But when this would happen I would just turn it of and on again and it would be fine. But it has gotten to the point now where it just won't work at all.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you all

PC is few years old, spec:
Motherboard: GA-78LMT-USB3
GPU: MSI R7770 Series
CPU: AMD FX 4100

Hey man,

Typically when your computer is attempting to boot but there is no display nor post it could be a RAM issue

If you have more than one stick of ram I recommend testing them one at a time. If you only have 1 Dim then you should buy a new stick

Also I would recommend getting a bios beep speaker that way you can hear the beep codes if any exist making it easier for you to troubleshoot :)
