Hello, for the past week my GPU's fan keeps spinning at 2000 or more rpm for a small duration while gaming or even when YouTube watching videos and then goes back to normal (1000-1100 rpm). Once it even lasted for a whole minute, sounded like it was going to explode. Not sure why this is happening. Could you help me out?
By the way, the card's model is XFX Radeon HD 7850 Ultra OC Edition and it has only one fan.

Solution
I fixed it some weeks ago! I found that the card was not well placed in the port which probably made it go out of control. As soon as I placed it tightly and booted it was normal and now everything runs properly. Thank you for trying to help though! :) I appreciate it.
Hello... There are multi-GPU speeds programed into a GPU... When the GPU is at full speed, the temperature sensor will see this and increase the FAN speed to keep the GPU at a safe temperature... You will hear the FAN change speed, and is normal.
If you hear your GPU fan at full speed all the TIME, this is NOT normal.

maybe reinstall drivers ?
use the warranty if you still have ....
if not working and it's out of warranty change the termal paste on the gpu , if that's still not working somehow flash a new bios to the gpu , if nothing works throw it out
oohhh and do you have good ventilation in your case?

Hello again, this started happening randomly now, even when just browsing the internet. I checked for dust but I didn't open the PC I just took a look there at my gpu, I didn't see any dust. I will try reinstalling the drivers and I will post back the results. By the way, it happens even when the temps are not high. When gaming the temp never goes above 60-63C, at least that's how it was in BF4. I hope the GPU or its fan isn't dying :/

This wasn't the solution, whoever picked this 😀
I still have the problem and I think it's either dust which I cannot see/ clean or the GPU itself. The thread is old, but whatever...
