It only makes a rattling noise when its vertical (fans facing downwards) I know its not anything like a wire hitting the fans. The rattling noise stops when its placed horizontally. Its been an issue for over a year but ive just kept it horizontal since.

I play gta very high settings, 80 fps most of the time and the GPU temp has only ever hit 74C Maximum

should I take any action now? or would I be ok, for lets say another 2 years or so?

Card: GTX 970 Asus Strix

If the fans are facing downwards then the card is horizontal, which is how it should be. Unless you have the case on its side or something weird like that. It could just be coil wine, could you take a video and post it online so we can hear it?
