Gpu fan speed only changes at 80%

Hi.. I've been searching for solutions since yesterday but to no avail..

the problem is that, the RPM on my gpu fan only changes when i set the fan speed to 80%

10% 20% 30% 40% 50%.. basically n <80% rpm is always the same.

Rpm is always under 200rpm (is this even normal?) when not set to 80% and above.

Used speedfan, msi afterburner.. but results are the same.

I have a sapphire R7 260x 2gb

Are you on the new crimson driver? There was a problem with fan control in the new driver update. A hotfix was published yesterday that fixed the issue.

yes this is crimson driver. november 24 update. I'll try your suggestions. BRB with updates

The latest driver did not help at all.. I should also add though that this also happened with catalyst driver.. so i dont think that is the issue?

I dont know what to do.. sometimes i am reaching 70c when idle at 70% fan speed..
