Just did my first external build, things are looking a little strange.
Hooked up the MoBo, RAM, GPU, PSU, and CPU. Green light was on my MoBo.
Hit the power pins with a screwdriver to test the power, and the GPU fans started spinning, but the CPU fan didn't budge, and the PSU fan spun for a seconds before stopping.
I have the CPU fan connected to the 4 pin slot on the MoBo that says CPU_Fan.
I have the power supply connected to the wall of course, to the MoBo with a 24 pin cable over by the RAM labled EATXPOWER, as well as with an 8 pin cable on the MoBo labeled EATX12V.
The PSU is also connected to the GPU with an 8pin PCI-E cable.
I'm pretty lost here. I discharged frequently via the case, and when I hit the power pins on the MoBo, a red light pops on the MoBo near the GPU, so the MoBo looks okay.
Using a P8Z77-V Pro Asus MoBo, Corsair HX70W PSU, IvyBridge Intel I-3570K CPU, Corsair Vengeance 4GBx2 RAM, Nvidia EVGA Geforce GTX760 GPU.
UPDATE: Reseated to CPU cables, now thats spinning! PSU is still coming on for only a second, though.
