GPU fan stops spinning after booting up

Once I boot my computer up the gpu fans start spinning and then stop after 3-5 seconds. Whenever I play a game for a while it tries to start up again but instead it just moves and starts making a weird prrrr noise. I tried it on my other pc and its the same thing.

what graphics card is it? most cards today are designed to only spin up when the card hits a certain temp.

check your settings in msi after burner or what ever gpu tweaker you have then see what the fan settings are if it is on auto then you should be fine if it is on a different manual fans setting than there is an issue

Never mind, it worked after I started playing witcher 3 and temperatures made it start spinning nice and fluidly, I guess the weird prr noise was because a cable was slightly touching it. But omg I'm so happy I thought it was broken and I threw away the plastic bag for the gpu so now I can't return it lol.

I swear to god, I saw my gpu fans not spinning and immediately started to sweat like hell. A couple minutes after i realized what it was and i was happy again )
