Hello, I've bought a new MSI ATI RADEON 7870 TwinFrozr2x .
I get the proper display. It is connected and everything (both 6 pin cables are plugged in)

THE FANS DO NOT SPIN AT ALL !!

My PSU power is at 750W , this one :

The rest of my setup is this : AMD Phenom II X4 945 Processor 3.00Ghz
8 GB RAM

LE : I tried enabling manual fan speed in CCC but to no avail. They just won't start . The video card is unpacked today.

🙁 that's concerning....
I'll try to use that Y molex adapter to replace one of the 6pin PCIe cables , maybe it will do the trick.
I'll get back to you

Edit: Thank you for your time !

It could also be a firmware/BIOS issue on the card itself. If this is the case, you could do it yourself and risk bricking the card, or RMA it.

Get it tested with another PSU (if you can) and see if it spins up with that one.

Also, remember that the fans on the card are connected to a fan header on the GPU PCB itself, so look around for the wires that connect the fans to the PCB and see if they haven't managed to find a way to wiggle out.

Ok, the problem is as you stated. I noticed it myself before restarting my PC and reading your post and stood in awe :/.. I think they sold me a refurbished product or such.

I noticed the cables that connect to the fan header are not intact.

Thanks for the help and for your time !

Glad to help!
